We turned our car in
at the ferry terminal in Wellington and then picked up another car on our
arrival at Picton on the South Island.
We had a sunny day with high cloud for the crossing so it was a pleasant
3 hours and 10 minutes. We saw a few
dauphins surface but there wasn’t as much activity as they sometime have.

We are now in Nelson
for 3 days. It is a lovely clean small
city. We can walk from our B and B to the downtown area
with all of it’s art and craft shops and many great dining places.
